To Those Who Turn

TurnFeature

To those little ones–those brave little

Children–whose shadows stretch

longer and higher than the wisest

& oldest grown-ups—

To those little ones that take my daughter’s

hand–wait patiently and without knowing—

never give up—

on her.

Your hearts are bigger and brighter than the biggest

apple on the tree.

To those little ones who turn my daughter’s head

In the right direction–

Who lift her chin to make sure that

she too gets to see the greatness of your

Tower–

and how good you did!

and to those who see her eagerness

and inability to contain herself— who let her

knock the tower and join her in the mess–

To those who dance with her right splat

center–wild and erratic—

To the little ones who see the light

and joy in everyone—you ease my running mind–

It is because of you—

That her heart– and my heart too,

is full.

May you forever be this innocent

and inviting—may your heart

Always be this good.

Thank you.

And God love the big person that can look at your child with love and concern and join in the laughter and gaiety of the moment….knowing that that burst of noise is her happiness coming through loud and clear and you revel in the success of that very moment of connection with your self and hers…❤️❤️❤️❤️

I stumbled across this after a truly wonderful weekend in which the little boy across the street – who’s never stopped trying to get my son with ASD to play with him – finally won him over and they were chasing each other, giggling and even hugging at one point. This captures that little boy perfectly. He is an absolute angel with the kindest, most generous heart and I love him for that – that and for his wonderful persistence!
