The Days Are Long

finding coo

We have been all together since Thursday at 4:30 pm.

Well, actually since March, but whose keeping track.

We’ve mostly been inside and haven’t really left the house.

It’s cold outside so walks aren’t ideal. Coops doesn’t like to be cold and he definitely considers 24 degrees to be cold.

Car rides are still a challenge for our family of five (mostly for the dad!) so we avoid those. Little people are very loud in cars. Dad doesn’t like loud and mom gets anxious because of it.

And there is nowhere to go. Things are closed here.

So, we stay home. And wow do the days feel long. Longer than they should. Also, the one in the middle has his nights and days mixed up and has started the last few days at 3:30 am. By 10 am he’s ready for lunch. And his dad and I are ready for a nap.

My only goal is to make it to Sunday night.

Movie and popcorn night. 2 of these three will eat popcorn.

1 of these 3 will watch the movie all the way through.

The little one will spill his bowl and Dad will yell and say we are never eating popcorn again. But we will.

We absolutely will. Cooper will blare his iPad and get tired of us telling him to turn it down and will go upstairs midway through. Clearly tired of us.

There will be wrestling. There will be messes. It will be loud. I will threaten them at one point. I will internally jump for joy when it’s bedtime.

I love Sunday nights. I always have.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.
