A Video Update from Cooper and Sawyer

Hi all!

I haven’t done a video in a few days! Cooper has a lot to tell you! And it’s just as adorable as you can imagine. Because I know you are going to ask, Cooper’s speech device is an iPad loaded with proloquo2go. He’s had it for three years but only really started using it fluently in the last six months. You can also hear that Cooper is still very vocal. He loves communicating in his own way. We are always working on sounds and modeling in our house. Communication is key to a happy Cooper.

My other favorite thing about this video is Cooper’s personality. It is really starting to shine. He is developing a personality and will often tease and be silly. I want you to know that when Cooper was younger I didn’t know if we’d ever reach this point. I constantly wondered what nonverbal looked like at older ages. Would we communicate? Would we have a typical mom and son relationship? I just didn’t know. And while the future is still really unknown, I do love how he is turning into a little person. You can really see his sense of humor in this video. Try not to smile!

I also give updates on our stroller saga and Cooper’s benefits. And I end it all with a good old fashioned ridiculous story about my life.
