Harbor’s New Bike

harbor 2

As parents, we want to remember everything. Especially the adorable and funny. So here goes…

A few days ago we bought our two year old a balance bike from Strider Bikes. He’s a pretty athletic kid and will most likely be riding a bike like his brother Sawyer at age 3.

Fun fact, I didn’t learn how to ride a bike until I was 8. I can still remember my parents running alongside me holding onto my seat.

Anyhow, for those who don’t know, balance bikes do not have pedals. Instead the kids take big strides and then glide along. They are awesome.

When we gave it to Harbor he was so excited. He loved the green color. He loved that it was his very own bike.

We watched him inspect it. Study it. Bend down low. And then he looked at us and said…’they forgot my pedals.’ Tears began to flow…

Followed up with….’let’s go to the store mama. I need to buy my pedals.’

He’s so cute this one. Even with a ‘broken’ bike.
