Road Trip

cooper 11

We are headed to a pool and our three boys are so excited. We have a long drive ahead of us…3 hours! In Sawyer’s mind that’s ‘like two whole days!’

Cooper is wonderful in the car which is night and day different than it used to be. He’s been packed and ready to go since first light this morning. And by packed I don’t mean clothes…I mean his treasures. They are in that bag he is holding. It’s his happy stuff.

The baby is the most challenging one in the car. I think it’s because he’s the loudest. But Sawyer also asks us every 5 minutes if we are there yet. But overall they are great kids and these are the memories. I personally remember driving to South Dakota with my family and being SO bored. Oh what I would give to be the kid again and relax while my dad drives.

Follow along on my Instagram story, Findingcoopersvoice, to watch our adventure. This is a big, wild, journey for us. We usually stick close to him but we needed some fun! We don’t do restaurants or stores or crowded places or lines. Too hard for this one. But we will find something to do!

Wish us luck. Oh, and we are getting a snowstorm. 6-10 inches coming our way. Ain’t nothing stopping this kid from swimming!

Finding Cooper’s Voice is a safe, humorous, caring and honest place where you can celebrate the unique challenges of parenting a special needs child. Because you’re never alone in the struggles you face. And once you find your people, your allies, your village….all the challenges and struggles will seem just a little bit easier. Welcome to our journey. You can also follow us on Facebook, subscribe for exclusive videos, and subscribe to our newsletter.
