To The Mom…

AdobeStock_3049645211

To the mom with bags under her eyes from getting up hours before school to take her son to his appointments

To the mom sitting by her baby girl in the hospital bed yet again while she fights for her life

To the single mom on food stamps who hasn’t worked in years because the calls from school are too frequent

To the mom who is still caring for her son well into her old age who prays someone will take over when she’s gone

To the mom who had to sign her rights away to get her child help

To the mom fighting insurance companies for equipment and care to keep her child alive

To the mom who places flowers every month for her child who lost the fight

To the mom who powers through her child’s meltdowns and self injury and hopes tomorrow’s better

To the mom watching her baby struggle to eat and function while her husband’s overseas

To the mom who has to check her child in to a psych ward and sobs walking to the car

To the mom terrified that this seizure will be the one that takes her little girl

To the mom who feels too tired and too hopeless to go on….

You are stronger than you know.

You are more capable than most.

You are everything to your child.

You can do it all again tomorrow because no one else will.

It’s okay to feel broken.

It’s okay to feel unappreciated.

It’s okay to feel unseen.

But I see you.

You are a special needs mom who will never stop loving and fighting for your child.
