Thanking the Special Fathers

FCV66

I know the diagnosis was a lot for you to handle at first. I remember you not showing any emotion.

I kept wondering how you felt? Did it bother you? Do you accept it?

I know at first it made you really sad. Every father’s dream is to have a son.

You wanted him to take your passion in football as well. The interest in sports. Helping him at his T-Ball games. Talk about girls.

The list goes on.

I know that hurt a lot.

I know this has been a tough road, but you have never left our side.

You have continued supporting Kash with all his therapies. Ways to continue helping him at home.

You continue to always be patient with him. You continue to enjoy those special moments with him-wrestling, tickling, and chasing.

You don’t let the diagnosis interfere with you being his daddy.

Adam, you and Kash, share something extremely special. A bond that never can be broken. We thank you for everything you do.

I know your line of work is dangerous, stressful, and draining, but you never let that interfere with Kash.

It takes a really special dad to have a child with special needs. It takes a dad that wants to be there.

It takes a dad that shows compassion. Has patience. Is caring. An advocate.

It takes a dad who truly loves his son no matter.

YOU are all those things plus more.

I know Father’s do not get enough credit for the roles they play in their child with special needs life. I thank you.

I thank all the fathers who have continued to help their children. I thank those Father’s who have stepped into that role to take care of a child with specials needs.

Being a father is the most rewarding gift you could ever receive.

Adam, Kash and I wish you a very Happy Father’s Day!
