A few years ago, I created a space…a space that I needed. A space for families like mine to come together online. We chat, laugh, cry, and support each other. It’s called Coop’s Troop and it is a paid subscription group on Facebook.

Through that group, something really special began to grow.

We started creating in-person events—because the truth is, so many families like ours don’t always get to participate in typical outings. It can feel overwhelming. It can feel isolating. And too often, it can feel like we’re doing it all alone.

Now, in partnership with my nonprofit, The More Than Project, we host several in-person events in my area—intentional spaces where families can show up exactly as they are, feel understood, and simply be together.
