One of Those Mornings

It’s been one of those mornings.

You know the one.

Dog peed on the carpet, forgot to do reading homework last night, arguing over breakfast and wondering why it seems like daylight savings is still totally messing with your family. But it’s only one hour! It makes no sense.

So, here’s to the parent who got up one too many times last night.

The dad who used a paper towel as a coffee filter because someone forgot to buy them.

The dad who scrubbed dog poop and pee out of the carpet.

The mom who argued about KitKats for breakfast, the right kind of cereal, bringing 87 ‘treasures’ to school, and almost gave up on life after attempting to wipe her babies nose.

The mom who argued about wearing a winter coat, hat and gloves because it’s 16 degrees out. And is pushed to the point of only caring because she knows the school will question her parenting.

The parents who discussed in code, and under their breath, why these children and dog are so insane.

The grandparent who dropped her grandson at school and sat with him on the floor of the lobby because he was struggling.

The therapist who took a kick or a hit or a head butt from a kiddo who wasn’t feeling school today.

Friends, it’s Friday. We made it.

And remember, our track record for making it through tough days is 100%.

Keep smiling like baby Harbor. Every day is his best day!

He also just took three unassisted steps!
